Intuitively, we know there is significantly more at play, yet the process of understanding and influencing all the potential drivers of employee success can be daunting. We are complex creatures, and while studies on motivation and workplace culture are pervasive, the majority focus on measuring employee engagement, happiness, and wellness. However, a comprehensive review of the literature reveals a largely unexplored yet essential driver of performance: the concept of PRIDE.

To explore this area, we commissioned Dr. Rick Garlick and Dr. Bob Nelson to study the concept of workplace pride. This study can now be used by companies to measure their levels of workplace pride and establish a baseline for inter and intra company comparisons. We are pleased to share the initial data of The WorkProud Study, which examined the major influences of workplace pride:
