McMullen Knows the Value of Recognition

During the pandemic, we have seen examples of leaders emphasizing the importance of recognizing employees for all their amazing contributions. Rodney McMullen, CEO of Kroger, nails the importance of recognition in this short video. How is your CEO connecting and appreciating their employees?

Take a look at the video below.

Rodney McMullen (Kroger)

In a recent Gallup workplace survey, employees were asked about their most meaningful and memorable recognition. “The most memorable recognition comes most often from an employee’s manager (28%), followed by a high-level leader or CEO (24%), the manager’s manager (12%), a customer (10%) and peers (9%). Worth mentioning, 17% cited “other” as the source of their most memorable recognition.” (See Employee Recognition: Low Cost, High Impact)

If Rodney McMullen of Kroger can do it, what about your executive suite?
